The Cart Saver application has two different areas for settings. There is the General tab and the Text Options tab. The General tab contains options related to app functionality and styling. The Text Options tab contains options related to customizing the text for customer facing pages.

General Options

Following is an explanation of the options you will find under the General tab.

Cart Options

These settings can change what happens after a cart has been saved. Currently, there are three options.

Clear cart items

Check this option to clear the store shopping cart of any items after a cart has been saved.

E-mail store owner

If you would like to be notified when a cart has been saved, this option will send an e-mail to the address attached to your Shopify store.

Create a draft order from cart

With this option selected, Cart Saver will automatically create a draft order from the contents of the cart. You can view the draft order from the admin, and also find it attached to the saved cart from the app admin.

Customer Pages

Sometimes the customer facing pages of the app require updates that could break any customizations you've made to the styling. In order to avoid any breaking changes, we release any updates to the template with a new version. These updates could include styling or additional features.

You can preview the new template with the Preview button. This will redirect you to the customer facing pages of the app with the ?preview=true query set in the URL. When the preview query is set, the pages will load with the latest template. Once you're ready to update, you can use the Update Templates button to switch to the current version.

The installation options provided here are for applications not using the app embed or app block implementations. If you installed Cart Saver after June 2022, these options do not apply to your installation.

Installation (Legacy)

These options relate to our automatic installer, which is currently in beta. The automatic installer will add a box with links for saving and viewing carts to the bottom of your cart page when it is enabled. You can enable and disable it with the click of a button.

Alignment

This option is only necessary if you want the automatic installer to attempt adding the buttons to your AJAX cart. You can tell it to align the button to the left, center, or right.

Attempt to add mini-cart to your header or AJAX cart

If your customers don't go to your cart page, this option may be required to automatically install the links on your AJAX cart. Due to the variations between themes, we cannot guarantee this option will always work smoothly. If you are having trouble installing, please contact us for help.

Installation Styling (Legacy)

The automatic installer has default text and styling which can be customized here.

Feature Explanation

This text appears above the view and save cart buttons on the cart page. Its purpose is to explain why or how customers should use this feature.

Save Button

This is the text that will appear on the save button.

View Button

This is the text that will appear on the view button.

You can also customize the colors. The inputs only allow colors in hex values.

Feature Explanation

Update the color of the text for the feature explanation.

Save Button

Update the background color of the save button.

View Button

Update the background color of the view button.

Background Color

Update the background color of the box the feature explanation and buttons are contained in.

Text Options

Cart Defaults

Default Cart Title

This is the default title that will be set for all new saved carts.

Saved Cart View

Back Link

This is the text for the link on the saved cart view page. The link takes you back to the saved cart index page.

Notice

If you would like to add text to the saved cart view page, you can add it here.

Edit Name

This is the text for the edit name button for changing the name of a cart.

Delete Cart

This is the text for the delete cart button.

Add To Cart

This is the text for the add to cart button on the saved cart view page.
